Helping Hand Relief Activities for IDPs

Helping Hand is significantly making its efforts with strong commitments to provide relief to the internally displaced persons (IDPs) in terms of food, utensils, bedding, tents, medical care and Tent villages since May 03, 2009 as the operation started in Swat, Buner and Dir districts of NWFP, Pakistan. Following is the brief illustration of the work done so far:


Free transportation services have been provided to more than 5,000 IDPs in Swat and Dir lower.

35 Medical camps and mobile health clinics have been organized to provide free medical care facility to the IDPs in Mardan, Swabi and Dir districts.












5 Medical Clinics are working since May 03, 2009.
More than 13000 patients have been benefited from the medical care facility provided by Helping Hand.

Establishment of a specialized medical camp for children and women in collaboration with IIMC, Islamabad. More than 900 children and women have been treated and provided free medicines.
Distribution of Relief goods in more than 300 IDP families in Mardan, Dir, Noshehra and Malakand Agency.













Distribution of Relief goods in more than 300 IDP families with host communities in district Chakwal, Attock, Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

Establishment of sub-camp at Jandai, Mardan, initially for 20 families and likely to be extended. Food, clothes, utensils, bedding and medical care facility have been provided.
Set up of Helping Hand tent village for 100 families in Miraj Colony, Takht Bi, Mardan.
Distribution of Relief Goods in 100 IDP Families in District Attock













Helping Hand for Relief and Development has organized a distribution ceremony to provide relief goods sponsored by ICNA Relief Canada in 100 IDP families living with the host community in district Attock.













With the donation of ICNA Relief Canada, Helping Hand has provided assistance to the IDPs of Pakistan. Relief package was consisting of food items (Rice, floor, sugar, tea, edible oil and lentils) and non-food items like clothing, bedding (comforters, pillows and mats) and utensils (saucepans, water coolers, spoons, plates, stoves, etc).
