Helping Hand has launched Half a Million Dollar Appeal for Victims of Indonesia Earthquake

One week after the devastating earthquake in Indonesia, Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD) appeals its donors and begin a nationwide campaign to increase support, as HHRD intends to provide more medical facilities to survivors.

HHRD and its partner, PKPU accessed, approximately 28000 homeless families start living in improper shelters. Weather conditions expect to become harsher for survivors in coming months and may cause spread of diseases such as fever, flu, and diarrhea among victims. Immediate after the earthquake, Helping Hand has provided ambulances which are continuously providing medical services to victims. Still the demand for immediate medical aid including ambulances, doctors, and medicines is higher than existing provisions.


“HHRD expressed concern over medical needs of survivors and commits to increase the number of ambulances until beginning of November”.
HHRD has already assigned a donation of $ 25000 for Indonesian earthquake victims immediately. Furthermore, HHRD has announced half a million dollars donation for earthquake victims an appeal has been launched for expansion of Medical Support Program.
