Chile Earthquake 2010

Even now, distribution of electricity remains one of the main challenges after the Chile earthquake, said the President of Chile. She also mentioned that they have received many offers of international aid and will accept aid that they need.
There are 2 million people affected by the earthquake and it is going to seriously hurt one of the Latin Americas most stable economies.

Chilean Red Cross has reported that more than 500,000 homes have suffered considerable damage.

More than 90 after shocks have been recorded, ranging from 4.9 to 6.9 in magnitude.

There are approximately 5000 Muslims in Chile. We got the following message from one of the major Islamic Centers in Chile.
Allah says in the Quran: “Seek help in Allah and be patient [before this test]. The earth is of Allah …”

Assalamu ‘alaikum wa wa ra h matullâhi barakatuhu

The Islamic Center of Chile and its Board informed the community that, by the Grace and Mercy of Allah, so far we have found out there was no physical harm to any member of our community who has been affected by this terrible earthquake in our country. Nor was there any damage to our mosques of Santiago and San Bernardo.

We very much appreciate Allah make us steadfast in the faith throughout this evidence, although they are stronger than we would like, and makes us also to strengthen our relationship with Him, especially through our prayers, our prayers, and reading Quran.

We ask all of you worry about any family or Muslim brother, as we learn from our Din. Also worrying about our neighbors, relatives and the community, helping all we can in these grave circumstances.

Our ‘Ulama in situations we recommend how are you, do much Du’a

(supplications) Istighfâr (apologize to Allâh), and reading of Surah Yasin (36).

May Allah protect us and give us a way to bring relief to others. Amin.

Wassalamu ‘alaikum wa wa ra h matullâhi barakatuhu
