1.1 million meals delivered; 672,000 more: Pakistan Flood Relief...

Assalaam Alikum,
"We are trapped in the flood water. We have nothing to eat or drink. Please rescue us. Our lives are in danger. For God's sake rescue us, otherwise we will die. Please help us, please!" Khyber Husain, Jacobabad, Sindh – This was a call made to ‘lifeline Pakistan’ service provided by 34 FM through BBC World.

There are undying efforts being executed by Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD):

Twenty four hour medical clinics are running in some of the most remote areas.
During these last 10 days of Ramadan, HHRD will deliver food to the poor and needy of Pakistan, mostly in flood affected areas; 672,000 meals, inshaAllah, during the last Ashrah of the month of Ramadan.
The distribution is being carried out across Pakistan, from Kaimari to Gilgit, Alhamdolillah.

HHRD has already delivered the ration for almost 1.1 Million+ meals for the victims in heavily flooded areas.

Br. Fazal ur Rahman – Country Director Pakistan – HHRD, visited the flood affected areas. Please listen to his update interview.

Our humble request to all of you is to encourage your friends, family and communities to designate this year's Fitra amount for the victims of Pakistan floods. Cell phones can be used to text "FITRA" to "27722" to donate $10 for this cause. Please visit http://www.reliefforpakistan.org/ for more details on Pakistan Flood Relief

The media has not been able to show the devastation that has taken place in Pakistan and now the Pakistan Floods are leaving the news. But the people are still in the middle of the worst natural disaster in the history. Our response has to be to the level of the disaster.

It is the last 10 days of Ramadan, when our good deeds and giving will benefit us the most inshAllah, we should think about those who are not as fortunate as us.

Thank you for your continuous support.

HHRD Team
