Pakistan Flood Victims Brace for Harsh Winter...

Assalaamu Alaykum WaRahmatullahi WaBarakatahu,

This year families in the flood affected areas will find it hard to survive the harsh winter. Peaks surrounding Swat are already covered in snow. Now the villages are getting covered in snow as well. But this time, winter will be ruthless for the already displaced flood victims. (BBC News)

Due to severe winter weather in Pakistan Helping Hand for Relief and Development has prepared a family winter package:

2 Comforters, 2 Warm Cotton Bedding (Tulaee), Winter Shawl, 2 Sweaters, Woolen hat, and 2 woolen scarves.

It is a $50 package that includes transporting the items to the flood affected areas.

These items will be transported to all 4 provinces’ affected districts.

Winter here is severe, and yet it is a great reminder of the blessings we have; clothes to keep us warm and well equipped homes to keep us protected. As we thank Allah (swt) for his blessings, please remember and help the lives of many who have been displaced during this harsh winter weather.

For more information please visit www.reliefforpakistan.org.

Reminder: 2 days left to make tax deductible donations for year 2010.

JazakAllah Khair,

HHRD Team
