Health screening of 3,000+ Orphans...

Assalaamu Alaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatahu

A tear trickled down her face as she sat on her bed wondering what was to become of her. The earthquake and subsequent flooding destroyed then washed away not only her home but also the most valuable possession she had: her family. As the sole survivor she was gathered up with the others in her neighborhood and taken to a safe house where the lucky ones were reunited with their families. She has lost all hope for she knew no one would come for her and this very thought became her living nightmare.

Countless children around the world have lost their parents and families due to natural disasters, wars, and diseases. These children often times are left to fend for themselves and as a result are deprived for a proper upbringing which includes an education, nutrition, shelter and much more. Of the many blessings of Islam is the reward of showing compassion to and taking care of an orphan.

Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) said, "Whoever caresses the head of an orphan (in affection), solely for the sake of Allah, a good deed will be written to his account for every hair over which he passed his hand". – narrated by Abu Hurairah

Helping Hand for Relief and Development through its Orphan Support Program is granting countless Muslims across the world with the opportunity to attain this reward. With simply $1 a day and a total of $365 a year one child is provided with the following:

As the weeks and months of ongoing civil war continue in an already battered Libya, the people of this country struggle with normal day to day routines. Fearful of their safety and lives many have become holed up in their homes and as a result are struggling to sustain themselves and their families.



"Help-Heal-Hope"

Through it's "Help-Heal-Hope" Relief Fund for Egypt, Libya, Algeria and Tunisia HHRD has send approximately $100,000 worth of milk inside Libya. The food will shortly reach inside Libya along with other basic food items. There is a great need for funds to help Libyans. They especially need baby milk, food, medicines and blankets.
