Emergency Response - Pakistan Flood Relief...

Assalaam Alykum,

Hundreds feared dead and thousands stranded due to the rain storms resulting in wide spread floods this week in Pakistan. Rivers burst their banks and streets were washed away in the northwest of the country on Thursday.

The rain is not stopping, many bridges have been washed away and there are reports that 100-year records are being broken.

Access to help is limited. Road accessibility has been blocked. A few bridges have been taken away and in some areas the roads are giving away as well making it difficult to save lives that need immediate response.

Many are killed, and more are missing; the floods have uprooted nearly 100,000 people and counting.

Helping Hand for Relief and Development is responding with immediate emergency relief. Please visit www.hhrd.org and donate generously for Pakistan Flood Relief 2010.

Helping Hand for Relief and Development would like to extend our heartiest condolences to all those, whose loved ones passed away in the tragic AirBlue Flight 202.
