Ramadan is a sacred and awaited month. It is the time of year to give more openly to those in need, and to thank Allah (swt) for all that we are blessed with. As Muslims, we strive to do the most we can because we never know how many more opportunities we will be given to take part in another Ramadan.

In Islam, Zakat serves as a means of purification and closeness. Wealth should not circulate merely amongst the rich; instead it should fulfill the needs of those who are disabled, poor, in hardship, and who live in poverty.
